Kevin and I found ourselves in disbelief when we realized late on a Saturday night that we were going to have a Sunday with no birthday parties or showers or events of any kind. (Except church of course... it was a Sunday... but highly unusual that neither Kevin or I had a morning commitment at church that day...) And the weekend weather was beyond beautiful... And it was a weekend in the fall when Kevin wasn't hunting... We just HAD to go to the fair!!!

Everyone had a ball...

And everyone had a corny dog! Well... almost everyone. No strollers allowed in the petting zoo so while Leah and Kevin checked out the animals,

Ava and I waited in the super long Fletcher's line.

At one point we stopped indoors so I could feed Ava. I kid you not, I was nursing Ava in one corner of the building when I realized people were standing in line to see the dairy cows in the other corner. NOT ON PURPOSE we had stopped in the dairy building. Just what I need these days... another mama cow comparison. But it made for a good laugh and a funny story.

Rabbit show!

Nap time!

Big sister loved everything about the fair... Especially the funnel cakes!!!

Me too! Red velvet this year, along with the traditional. We ate them while we watched the awesome "birds of the world" show... For the last time. Bird man is retiring after 25 years. :-(

Leah was a big fan of the midway... Which I can not stand!!!! But we humored her and Kevin and I each rode a ride with her...

Then she rode some by herself.

She would smile and wave every.single.time.around. So fun!

Leah and Kevin rode the new spinning-space-donut-ride-thingy that goes up like 60000 feet in the air. You could see all the way to Russia I think!

Ava and I stayed on the ground and had some carrots. And after a couple of laaaaame midway games Leah chose one last ride....

As she was getting off the ride she said to Kevin with an ear to ear grin "Thank you daddy for bringing me to the fair!!"
Fun times!
