A little traffic

31 min later... The driver of the semi truck next to me on the highway just got out of his seat and went to the back of his cab. He came back with what seems to be a plate of food he is now munching on... The driver in front of me is reading a newspaper. He has finished at least 2 sections already. And he is sipping his coffee as if sitting at his kitchen table. All I have is a hot dog.

Way back when - Easter Sunday Morning 2012

I just couldn't resist posting these Easter pics. When I look back at this blog (or when Leah does one day?) I will wonder why I posted Easter pics in July... But late is better than never. I probably won't really wonder... It's kind of a theme I have going.
Leah's basket

Her first peep! I wouldn't let her touch it so she wouldn't get her dress sticky.

After church it's off to see family

Reading her new Veggietales Easter book

CANDY!!!!

Rained out of our normal egg hunts, so hunting proceeded in the house

Sweet cousins Jaxon and Mady

This girl loves sugar...

And her family...

Then we tried (unsuccessfully) for a short nap before our next event...

More indoor egg hunting with the Cooper great grandkids... Grandpa enjoys his greats as much or more than he enjoyed his grands!

Found one!!

These guys crack me up: Ryan, Cooper, Bronwyn, Jayden, Leah

Guess which no-nap kid was giving everyone the hardest time taking pics.

Ok so everyone took a turn acting silly...

Egg-heads!

This one below is my favorites... Almost everyone looks happy. :)

Now I can post more summer time stuff without angst!

Baby Boy

(I know this title is getting some people all excited. 😳Everybody simmer down)

Aunt Leslie has a new kitten and Baby Boy is his name! His mama, Mama Kitten now lives at the barn too. They are busy catching mice, and they are loving their new home!

And Leah is loving her some kitty cats. Leah would definitely like to trade Beans in for a kitty or two, but her daddy is too "allergic."

Once she got her hands on Baby Boy she didn't want to let him go. He kept wriggling out of her arms and she would chase him and grab him again.

She has finally learned that we don't pick up kitties by their necks or heads.

She cried when we had to leave that day.

LC quote of the day

"Sometimes after I laugh a lot I take a deep breath like this... Aaaaaaah. I do that after daddy jokes me up."

(...so then I asked her "how does daddy joke you up?" and she replied...)

"Daddy always jokes me up when he says 'knock knock' or sings silly songs or things like that."

A little princess

Leah spent a couple of hours making this crown with her Giggle.

And now she never takes it off. (Unless it is to put on another of the crowns from her collection... One day she said to me "Look at my crowns. I will put all of them right here on my dresser and I will call it 'My Crown Collection' ok?")

Wearing my shades to complete the look.

Alright, we have sat in the car far too long... Time to get our groceries.

This was Leah's first time to get her own cart... And her first time to shop while wearing a crown. So I thought it was photo worthy. (I don't know what's up with her foot here.)

And as always we stop by the lobsters for a look-see.

If there is a day that you feel like you might want to stop and talk with every single stranger in the grocery store, then let your "loquacious" three year old wear a super sparkly crown and push her own stroller.

LC quote of the day

"Oh my sticker is broken! It's the saddest life in my world. Bummer, summer, dummer. Oh wait here is another one I simply must have."

And her world is all right again.

LC quote of the day

"I have a great idea that I could name my baby! Squeaks Rapunzel! That would be magnificent."

This comment was out of the blue today, but I should mention that she recently told me she had married Bob Tomato and that he would be "the dad" and she would be "the mom."

I just so glad she got married first.
