A little baby food

At About 4.5 months, Ava got to try her first food. We began with rice cereal... Just like big sister.

Hmmmph...

What is up with this????

I don't think so, mom.

She also tried oatmeal a couple of weeks after that. One day she likes her cereal, the next day she doesn't love it... She has a serious gag reflex which makes for humorous faces at the dinner table.
.
There is one thing she likes every time... Mama's milk!

A little preschooler

The Curley's have a school girl in the family. And it's official... Leah looooves school. "I wish I could go again tomorrow. I just wish I could go every day!"

On our way to Pre-K!

She didn't even look back... I had to get her attention to say goodbye!

The thing Ava and I love most about this school is the carpool lane! They encourage you to stay in your car and the teachers bring your kid to you and even buckle them in after school! No afternoon sweatin!

I am spoiled already!

First ever after-school-snack!

A new addition to the wall hooks by the back door...

Oh, and I forgot to show this... Giggle gave Leah a nifty lunch organizer with colorful silicone baking cups...

Ava was so glad Leah was home after school.

The second day we got to school so EARLY it wasn't even open yet! Let the record show I have been on time or early to all my scheduled events for 3 days in a row now! This is the first time since Ava was born that I have been on time to anything! (We waited in the car for the school to open)

First ever homework!!!! She excitedly reminded me about her homework and she worked on her letters for half an hour...

Y's are really hard. K's... We will come back to those another night. :)

Her friend Leah, who lives across the street, just turned 5 and Leah Curley wanted to make her a birthday card. She just asked me how to spell the words and went to town.

The only reminders she needs are to make smaller letters so everything fits, and to start on the left (she always wants to write right to left, and has even written mirror-image-backwards a few times... Weird)

Hooray for School!!
