do other babies have necks?

Maybe I just never noticed...
Here she was at two months. Little LC had some photos taken by her Aunt LC.

Some of my favorites...

How cool is this one?

She finally grew out of her newborn clothes and into size 1 diapers too!

Sporting the baby mohawk.

She loves to laugh and smile... all day every day!

Is it just me or is that stopper getting bigger?

She went to church for the first time on Easter. And then to various family events.
Do these two look alike or what? (more like her dad or Aunt Les?)

This is my grandpa with his great-grandbabies.

All 4 great-grandkids on the Cooper side.

And a little Easter nap...

A few more accomplishments at 2 months of age...

At 2 months and 2 days, she surprised us by sleeping all night long!

She's had a full night's sleep every day since, and so have we!

She's working on her talent in case we enter her in any pageants... she has almost gotten the entire thing in her mouth.

She started sitting in her Bumbo seat... she liked it for a minute and then realized just how much that head weighs! This picture is her first time trying it out.

After a few days she was enjoying it much more...

Later that day she beat this frog in a staring contest...

And this is a picture so everyone knows we still love Beans too... yes, as much as before.

Look at her grow... 2 month check-up

Leah took a picture of herself at the doctor's office..... We were there for the 2 month check-up.

She weighs 10 lbs, 8.5 ozs and is now 22 inches long.

The head is also growing nicely!

She talked and laughed and kicked her legs and wiggled the whole time.

Dr. D suggested that we think about getting Leah a neck for Christmas.

Leah has an entourage everywhere she goes. Even the tiny exam room at the doctor's office.

It would have been cool if I'd gotten a picture of my mom taking this picture of Julie taking a picture of Leah... but someone had to keep the little squirmer from wiggling right off the table!

Later that night she had her first dose of Tylenol... thanks to a nasty fever (another first) after her immunizations.

Drank a little too much one night...

.
Had her first piece of candy.

only a month or so behind...

I feel like a total failure as a blogging mother... (that sounds kind of profane doesn't it?) But I'll try to get caught up. A few pics of Leah around her 1-month birthday.

She started smiling at us regularly around this time, but just like our other baby.... she did not hold a pose or make a face for very long, so we didn't catch many of them on film. (Film? Who uses film?)

She also went to her first restaurant (Cheesecake Factory) and her first cafeteria (she LOVES Luby's like her mama!)

She went on her first trip to the dog park and Super Target and she visited both sets of grandparent's homes.

She had her first BOTTLE! So dad finally gets to feed her once in a while.

For the first week or two everyone kept saying how much Leah looked like her daddy... but around this time it began changing... some say she looked like me, some still say Kevin, but I think she looks so much like her Aunt Leslie's baby pictures.

I called her my little Beaker because she squeaked all the time like Beaker from the Muppet's.
We also call her Granny Grunt.... what a little noise maker!

Her favorite pastime for the first month of life was streeeeeeetching. She also loved to wait until we had the diaper OFF to finish her business which gave mom extra practice at bathing a tiny newborn!

At one month old Leah began consistently sleeping a 5 hour stretch at night without waking up! So mom finally gets 4 1/2 hours of sleep at one time!!

Of course, all this is old news... she's changed so much! Every single day she is bigger and stronger and doing new things and we can't believe we love her even more!!
