I've lost it...

NO, not my mind... that was years ago.

My CAMERA! It's a great tragedy in so many ways. Mostly because there were pictures I had not yet saved, but also consider this... my backup camera (my phone) is broken too! Almost two weeks of Leah's cuteness and funniness is undocumented and lost forever! I've looked and looked. It has to be in my house somewhere. The real irony of it all? I ripped all my sofa cushions off thinking it might have fallen into the black hole... and I found some REALLY funny stuff under there (thanks Leah) and COULD NOT TAKE A PICTURE OF IT!!! I'm so sad.

But I did find my favorite, missing earring.... which has been lost for about 3 years! Too bad I finally threw away it's partner a couple of months ago.

My sister took these last week when we visited the office...

eye see

My sister had this little painting done for us as a Christmas gift... and it was so good! An artist painted Leah's eye from a photo my sister sent to her, and the artist then posted this "speed painting" video on YouTube. I think the video is cool, probably just because it's my kid's eye. But if you're into that sort of thing.. click it!

And they call it... ducky love

We went to our neighborhood park to do some playing, swinging, lunching and feeding the ducks. (Spring is here people... Leah witnessed her first discovery channel moment with a pair of mallards... by the way, is it the least bit fair that the female duck has to be under water the whole time??)
Leah had her first Chicken McNuggets!!! Can it be?

Party like its your birf-day

So I was really proud of my blogging frequency for a minute. I don't know what happened though! All of the sudden I'm the loser of bloggerville again. Leah's birthday was a month ago and you still haven't seen these pictures of her very first post-cake face!
But now you have! We had so much fun celebrating a bunch of different times. Truth be told we celebrated during the whole month. Its my preference to celebrate the birth-day, birthday week and birthday month. I even celebrate my half birthday, which is a tradition I believe I will pass down to my children. Why? Because why not?? Its just another excuse to celebrate.
.
Here are some more shots of the girl celebrating...
Her favorite gift was a pink monkey wearing a bow tie from her Great Grannie!I'm pretty sure we're related... based on our appreciation for cake...
"I'm ONE!!!!"

Its not a party unless you pass out with your clothes halfway on and wake up with raisins stuck to your face.
