A little wheeze

This video was a hidden camera operation. I was reading in the living room one night and Kevin decided to watch some of the "hunting videos" he and a friend had made while at the deer lease one weekend. He put on his headphones and hit play. He had no idea that once all the wheezing and hysteria began, I hit record on my phone's video camera. :) There was a point where the dusky, purple-ish color of his face actually had me worried, but I know CPR, so I kept rolling.

They say its a sign of good character if you can laugh at yourself. I'm not sure if this is what they mean...

a little bit loud

Check out this video of Leah getting shushed by her friend Blakely. Leah sure enjoys the plethora of dress up clothes at Blakely's house... and the bouncy bed that Blakely's mommy let's them jump on... but she doesn't like to be shushed!

Oh...and if there is such a thing as toddler track and field, Blakely needs to sign up! She is gonna be a high jumper or hurdler one day.

Dr. Curley

What seems like a veeeeery long time ago I contracted what was perhaps the worst respiratory virus in my whole entire life... And then... on her actual birthday... I gave it to Leah... resulting in the cancellation of all sorts of birthday festivities. (And as it turns out that is a way bigger deal to her mommy than it was to Leah.)

Anyway, it was a good thing Dr. Curley had her new doctor kit, a birthday present from Bibby and Pops. She gave me about 36287 check-ups and there were lots and lots of shots and medicine for both of us.

Before she had this kit we often played doctor, nurse, patient. We would all take turns playing different roles. But now there is only one doctor in the house.

LC quote of the day

A couple of weeks ago on our way to Pops' birthday dinner...
Leah: Why is it taking so long to get there?
Me: We just missed the turn.
Leah: Why did we miss the turn?
Me: We just did.
Leah: How are we going to get there now?
Me: We are just going to go down here and do a u-turn and then we will be there.
Leah: Why are you going to make ME turn?
:)
