So I know what we did last summer - July 4th

July 4th holiday is Kevin's family reunion time each year... On our way to the casino in Durant Oklahoma with our two children! ;-)

We told Leah she had to do all sorts of goofy things when we crossed the Red River and she did them!

So excited to be going everywhere with her new baby sister. Ava was only 3 months old on her first "vacation." (Leah's first vacay, if you will recall, was to fabulous Granbury Texas! We do it right!)

Leah was in "take my picture here" mode.

In our cabana by the pool...

The pool was fa-reeeeeee-zing!!! So Ava stayed above the frey...

Leah practiced all her knew underwater swimming skills...

Papaw held miss Ava in the shade for a while...

Daddy for a long while...

Bedtime...

While we dined inside the hotel restaurants baby girl fell asleep...

I didn't take good pictures of any family!!! But our friends, the Franks, (who we consider like family) came and I have a few pics of the girls...

Giggle and granstan... And the mighty buffalo...

Cracker Barrel on the way back home...

Good times!

Curley Girlies - Halloween Costumes 2013

Leah wanted to be Marie, the little white kitten with the pink bow from Disney's Aristocats.  She also wanted a little pink fur and a pink diamond collar to make her costume pop.  Mommy aims to please! The hot glue gun got a work out this year.

Baby Ava sported the Raggedy Ann costume from the super-famous-Leah-Curley-Halloween-costume-of-2009! They were the cutest kitten and rag doll on the block!

Does anyone else remember seeing this before?? Like 4 years ago!?!
That is Leah below!!!
SAME BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Ava Curley didn't have such a different personality than her sister did as a baby... I would seriously think God was playing a trick on me giving me the same baby twice!  Well...different personality and different growth pattern.  :) Ava was 2 months younger than Leah at her first Halloween...yet she was bigger, heavier, longer, and her sweet feet wouldn't fit into the precious little shoes.  Leah carried all her weight in her cheeks... Ava's is in her big feet I guess!

Love these little curleys.

A little trip downtown...

Bibby and Pops took Leah and I to see The Lion King! This was Leah's first trip on the DART rail... Excited is an understatement!

We told her the animals would be coming down the aisles behind us... She couldn't stop checking behind us the entire time.

It was a really, really, really late night... As evidenced by the sleepy train ride home... With Pumba and Bibby...

Leah's 4th Birthday

Way back in February....
A Brave party at Coo Coo's... one of TWO Brave birthday parties this 4 year old had. Another at McDonalds with all of our boot camp friends... one day you will see those pics too!

Look, there's Ava in my tummy... along with a chocolate cupcake or two!

Already all tatted up! And she's only 4!

LC quote of the day

Leah got a new friend at the Disney store. (I am a total sucker at that store for some reason!) Marie from Aristocats!

On the way home she says... "Let's just face it... If we watch a movie tonight I am watching Aristocats."

Stay tuned to see the Marie-inspired Halloween costume we have for tonight!
